Our Story

Who We Are

Initiative for Green Planet Uganda (IGPUG) is an incorporated youth-led public policy and advocacy non-profit organization working with youth, women, and indigenous communities to champion environmental conservation, clean renewable energy, climate sustainability, and resource rights.

Based in Kampala, Uganda, we believe that climate justice is inseparable from social justice. Our work brings together grassroots communities, young people, and women to become agents of change in protecting Uganda's natural environment.
